Make a wiggly spider pen for Halloween!

Materials

  • 2 wiggle eyes,
  • 1 medium pom pom,
  • black ribbon,
  • 1 small pom pom,
  • 4 pipe cleaners (2 colours),
  • feather trim,
  • metal spring,
  • 1 plain pen,
  • hot glue

Tools

  • scissors,
  • hot glue gun

Steps

Cut piece of ribbon (approx. 3 ft.) Put a dot of glue near tip of pen. Press ribbon on glue and continue to use glue and wrap ribbon around pen. Repeat until pen is covered. Try not to let pen show under ribbon. Glue end of ribbon to top of pen. Trim any excess ribbon.

Using glue dots makes this step a bit easier ... I am a glue dot convert!

Cut piece of feather trim (approx. 6 inches). Apply hot glue to end of pen and part way down pen. Wrap trim around pen and glue down.

Cut 4 pipe cleaners into 4 or 5 inch pieces. Twist 2 pieces of different colours together. Make 4 sets.
